Welcome to Ossett Surgery

We provide comprehensive NHS primary care services to help you manage your health and well-being.

Our aim is to provide a high quality, caring and personal health care service to our whole patient population by:

  • Putting our patients at the centre of what we do
  • Having a highly qualified and trained multi-professional integrated primary Healthcare Team
  • Offering our services in a safe, supportive and suitably equipped environment, using technological advances in healthcare systems for our patient’s benefit.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update

Following feedback from our patients we have recently changed our appointment system to enable us to be more accessible. We will now offer a range of appointment including face-to-face same day GP appointments and telephone triage.

Please only attend surgery if you have been asked to attend, we will try and deal with everything else over the phone where possible. It is hoped that reducing our footfall will help delay the potential spread of coronavirus among our patients and staff.

Face Masks

Following a recent change in government guidance surrounding the use of face masks in public spaces, you will now be expected to wear a mask when attending the surgery to see a clinician. Children under the age of 11 years old do not need to wear a mask.

Repeat Medication

Repeat medication can be ordered by filling in a paper repeat template and posting it in the postbox in the atrium or order it online and we will send it to a pharmacy of your choice removing your need to return to the surgery. If you have not been set up for online services but would like to do so, please request this with a member of the admin team.

Specimen Requests

Specimen requests can be handed in at either reception (GP side if GP request, Nurse side if for for routine monitoring) – please note this must reach the surgery before 4 pm when the samples are collected .
